Dr. Clary has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 25 years and is highly skilled at performing orthopedic surgical procedures. He is exceptional at performing knee (ACL) repairs, hemilaminectomy and ventral slot (back) surgeries, bone fracture repairs and more. His veterinary interests include orthopedic surgery, theriogenology, and internal medicine. When he is not practicing, Dr. Clary enjoys being outdoors ranching, welding, and spending quality time with his wife, Petra, and their two children, Gage and Portia.

Dr. Cunningham is a proud Lubbock native who enjoys serving his community and has been practicing in Lubbock since graduating from veterinary school in 2006. He loves all aspects of veterinary medicine and excels at providing individualized care to meet your pet's specific needs. An animal science graduate and former member of the Texas Tech Red Raider baseball team, Dr. Cunningham is a fervent Red Raider and attends as many Tech sporting events as possible. Above all, he is a devoted husband and father to his wife, Averi, and their two boys Cade and Caleb.

Dr. Wolfe has been practicing in Lubbock since graduating from veterinary school at Texas A&M in 2005. Her veterinary interests include feline medicine, dentistry, internal medicine, and ultrasonography. Dr. Wolfe is very thorough in her practice of medicine and excels at working up complex cases. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys being a wife and mother to her husband, Matt, and their two children Reese and Logan. They are avid baseball fans and enjoy attending baseball games, especially the Texas Rangers.

Dr. Chattin was born in Lubbock, but grew up in the DFW area. Being a third-generation Red Raider, Texas Tech was a natural choice for him to complete his undergraduate studies at. During that time, he worked under Drs. Clary, Cunningham, and Wolfe as a technician gaining valuable experience before heading off to veterinary school at Texas A&M. After graduating in 2015, he returned to Lubbock to work alongside his mentors, this time as a colleague. Dr. Chattin's veterinary interests include general/orthopedic surgery, oncology, exotic medicine, and clinical pathology.

Dr. Armin Trenton Hohrein or “Dr. Trent” was born in Spanish Fork, Utah in 1977. He graduated from Bingham High School in South Jordan, Utah in 1995. While in Bingham, he participated in FFA and 4-H Horsemanship. He attended College of Eastern Utah and Utah State University for his undergraduate education and Colorado State for his veterinary degree. After graduating from Colorado State in 2005, he moved to Lubbock, Texas. He practiced small animal and emergency medicine for most of his career except for short stints in Utah and Ft Worth. In Lubbock, he met his wife Jennifer, and they have two children Wyatt and Breelynn. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, attending and watching football games, fly thing, photography, and spending time with his wife, kids, and two dogs- Blaze and Holden.

Dr. Fine is originally from the West Texas area. She attended Texas Tech for undergrad then graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. After graduation, she wanted to practice close to home. She joined Live Oak Animal Hospital in 2018. Dr. Fine’s interest are preventative medicine, surgery, dermatology, and dentistry. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her pets.

Chris has over ten years of experience in managing high volume veterinary hospitals and keeps Live Oak running smoothly. In addition to his experience as a manager, he has had several years of experience as a veterinary technician and front desk reception making him particularly knowledgeable in the daily operations of a veterinary hospital. Chris understands what it takes to provide excellent service, and maintains the highest level of ethics and professionalism. He will address any concerns or needs you have with the utmost respect and compassion.

Dr. Hildebrandt has been practicing at Live Oak since graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. A local to the area, Dr. Hildebrandt returned to Lubbock immediately after graduation. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, ultrasonography, and soft tissue surgery. When she is not practicing, Dr. Hildebrandt enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her two dogs, Maple and PB.

Dr. Cristina Hartmann joined Live Oak Animal Hospital in 2019. Originally from Pennsylvania, she attended Penn State University for her undergraduate degree. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, completing her clinical year of veterinary school at the University of Florida. Cristina’s interests include preventative medicine, dentistry, and surgery. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, her two dogs Finn and Teddy, and her cat Maisie.

Dr. Cannon as her regulars call her has been practicing at Live Oak since 2021 after graduating from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine, although she has been part of the Live Oak family since 2015. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets.

Dr. Luckett, originally from Matador, Texas, began his career at Live Oak at its inception as a technician while working toward a bachelor’s degree in animal science at Texas Tech University. Dr. Luckett attended veterinary school at Texas A&M and graduated in 2018. Then, in 2020 he decided to return “home” and begin work at Live Oak. Dr. Luckett deeply values the ideals and principles Live Oak holds close, and he believes in the style of medicine practiced here. His veterinary interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery along with generalized medicine. When not at Live Oak, Dr. Luckett enjoys spending time with his wife, Katelyn, and their two dogs Baxter and Remmi on his family’s ranch near Matador, working on show cattle.

I graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986, and have practiced in Texas my entire career, the majority of it in Lubbock Texas. My veterinary interests include dermatology, ophthalmology, reproduction, and canine and feline behavior. My outside interests are competitive dog sports, including agility, obedience, dock diving, tracking, and FAST CAT. I also enjoy traveling and NASCAR races.

Dr. Barney moved to Lubbock as a child from the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. She primarily grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Frenship High School and Texas Tech University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in 2016. In 2022, Dr. Barney graduated veterinary school from Midwestern University located in Glendale, AZ and returned to Lubbock to join Live Oak. Her veterinary interests beyond general veterinarian medicine include surgery, exotics, and feline medicine. Dr. Barney is now considered to be a local FIP treatment expert after her own cat Margo (pictured) above was diagnosed with the illness as well as successfully treated her and several other patients who have reached full remission. During her free time she enjoys crafting, baking, visiting with family and friends, spending time with her husband Jace, their two cats Margo and Rey, and crested gecko Jessie.

Dr. Sutherlin joined Live Oak in 2024 after graduating from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Indiana, Dr. Sutherlin attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before moving to Scotland for vet school. Fun fact about Dr. Sutherlin, since she graduated from a Scottish vet school, she also holds a veterinary license in the UK! Dr. Sutherlin’s interests include alternative medicine, mobile work, and internal medicine. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets.

Dr. Ashleigh Patridge was born and raised in a military family and spent her childhood living all around the world. Despite her global upbringing, she has proudly been part of the Live Oak team since 2017. She began her journey at LOAH as a veterinary technician while simultaneously working on her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a Master’s in Business from Texas Tech University. In 2021, Dr. Patridge was honored to be accepted into the inaugural class of Texas Tech University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating in 2025, she was eager to return to the Lubbock community as one of the first practicing “RaiderVets.” Her veterinary interests include an immense passion for internal medicine, emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, and exotic animal medicine. Deeply grateful for the support she has received from the Lubbock community over the years, Dr. Patridge is passionate about giving back to the clients and families who have played a role in her journey. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her hands in the soil, as an enthusiastic gardener. She also loves antiquing, reading, baking and spending time with her husband, their three dogs, and their cat.

I am so excited to be joining the Live Oak family! I recently graduated from Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine as part of the inaugural class in May 2025. I completed my undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Oklahoma State in 2021. Although I loved my time in Stillwater, I couldn’t wait to return to Texas to continue my studies. I have a passion for preventative medicine, surgery, and small exotics such as rabbits and ferrets. Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy reading, traveling, and hanging out with my cat Oliver. I’m originally from Plano, TX but decided to stick around the West Texas area and can’t wait to call Lubbock my home.

Dr. Arellano is a proud graduate of the inaugural class of Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2025. A Red Raider through and through, she also holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech, which she completed in 2015. Her journey into veterinary medicine has been both personal and professional. As a devoted wife and mother, Dr. Arellano pursued her veterinary education while balancing the demands of family life — a testament to her dedication and resilience. Her roots with the practice run deep, having worked as a veterinary technician from 2016 until her acceptance into veterinary school in 2021. This hands-on experience shaped her compassionate approach to care and her deep understanding of client and patient needs. Her special interests include feline medicine and behavior, soft tissue surgery, and preventative care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.

Born and raised in Clovis, New Mexico, I have fond memories of road trips to Lubbock for great food, shopping, and family time—experiences that helped shape my deep connection to this region. I graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree, emphasizing pre-medicine. I am proud to be a RaiderVet and member of the inaugural graduating class of Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine, earning my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. Becoming a veterinarian has been a lifelong dream come true, but my greatest joy and accomplishment in life is being a mother to my three amazing children: Lily, Asher, and Gray. My professional interests include internal medicine and surgery, and I am committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every animal I treat. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my own beloved pets—my two dogs, Gunny and Hobo, and my three cats, Bear, Birdy, and Bug. During one of my clinical rotations, I had the privilege of working with the exceptional doctors and staff at Live Oak Animal Hospital. That experience confirmed my desire to join this incredible team and serve the Lubbock community. Dr. Christian Resendez was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas. He received his bachelor's degree in Pre-Veterinary Animal Science and Veterinary Technology from Texas A&M University Kingsville. Dr. Resendez was honored to be accepted into the inaugural class of Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in may of 2025. During his time in Veterinary School, he decided that west Texas and LOAH would be a great new home. His Veterinary interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, exotic animal medicine and behavior. Outside of Veterinary medicine Christian enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with his wife, Emily and their dogs.

Anna began working at Live Oak in 2018 and became the Marketing Manager in 2020. She loves the relationships she has formed with clients, their pets, and within the community. She has found her passion in finding ways to involve Live Oak in the community in ways beyond just animal health, with “Live Oak Loves Lubbock”. When not at work, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her husband, two children, and pets.

Alyssa began working at Live Oak in 2016 as a technician. She quickly moved up the ranks utilizing her skills in surgery to ultimately be promoted to Surgery Manager in 2021. She specializes in CT scans, ultrasound, echocardiograms, EKG, and assisting with all specialized orthopedic surgeries that Live Oak has to offer. Alyssa always encourages our staff and finds unique ways to boost morale and build our team. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys drawing, yoga, baking, and spending time with her dogs and husband.

Madelyn started working for Live Oak in 2016 and then graduated in 2019 from Texas Tech with her Bachelors in Animal Science, concentrating in Business. She is originally from Sherman, Texas but now resides in Lubbock. She enjoys the day to day life at Live Oak and helps keep the clinic running smoothly. Besides overseeing technicians and ordering inventory for the clinic, she loves spending time with her husband, friends, and cat, Oliver.

Erica moved to Lubbock Texas from Dallas in 2013 and Live Oak became her work family in 2019. She started as a kennel tech for the pet hotel and soon took on responsibilities of receptionist. She moved to the south location in 2020 to help open the new pet hotel and clinic. During her time at south she was promoted pet hotel manager. She has always had a love for animals and knew she would work with them one day. Erica enjoys the relationships built between clients and their fur babies. When Erica is not at work, she is a pet parent to Pretty Kitty. She loves reading and spending time with family and friends any chance she gets.

Halley was born in New York, but raised in Nebraska. She worked with kids for over 13 years. When she moved to Lubbock, Texas in 2020, she wanted to try a new career path. Halley started as a receptionist in June of 2020 and then was promoted into her assistant management position at South in March of 2022. She also gets to enjoy working at our main location as late night manager on Thursday evenings. Outside of work, Halley enjoys traveling, music and spending time with her husband and animals.

Kelsey was born and raised in Lubbock. She started her vet-tech career in 2007, where she met Dr. Wolfe, Cunningham, and Clary. As a career veterinary technician, she earned her LVT license through San Juan College in 2011 while working at another clinic in town. Kelsey joined the Live Oak team in August of their inaugural year in 2014 as a technician. In 2020, Kelsey moved to the South location to help open the new clinic and in 2021 was promoted to Hospital Manager. When not at work, Kelsey is a wife to her husband, Cameron, and mom of twin boys, Kanon and Krew, who keep her very busy. She also owns a sheep farm and trains/raises working Australian Shepherds and Livestock Guardian Dogs. She has a total of 10 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses, 17 sheep, 2 goats, a flock of ducks, and a flock of chickens.

Michelle joined our Live Oak Family in 2018. She came to Live Oak with over 15 years of experience in management. Michelle is dedicated to providing excellent pet care at the Pet Hotel. She also understands how important it is to provide great customer service and loves getting to know her clients and their pets. Her goal every day is to ensure that all pets have a good experience when boarding at the pet hotel. You will hear her often say that working at the pet hotel isn't just a job it's her passion. Michelle has four dogs of her own and considers them as part of her family. She loves volunteering for animal rescue groups when she has time and also enjoys spending time with her husband, Damian and daughter, Madison.

Tasia was born in and raised in Wolfforth where she developed a passion for animals. She started working as a vet tech in 2004 at another vet clinic in the area. After working in the human medical field for several years she finally landed back in the animal world, her first love. She started at Live Oak in 2022 as a technician and was quickly promoted to hospital manager when our Midtown location opened in May of 2022. Tasia enjoys the outdoors and loves hiking any chance she gets. Outside of work Tasia enjoys woodworking, spending time with her family, traveling and is a proud supporter of our Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Ronnie Gonzales is a veterinary technician with six years of experience in animal healthcare. She began working at Live Oak in 2019 and moved into a management role in 2023. Passionate about medicine, she is currently a student working towards admission into a Physician Assistant program. Outside of work and studies, Ronnie enjoys spending time with her dog, Freddie, as well as reading and learning more about healthcare.
